
Watts named second-team All-GPAC
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Ella Watts of College of Saint Mary has been named to the second-team All-Great Plains Athletic Conference softball team for her efforts during the 2024-25 season.
Watts, a sophomore from Omaha, Neb., who played at Yutan High School, was selected as an infielder. She led the Flames in doubles (12), home runs (7), runs scored (32) and slugging percentage (.650), was the co-leader in hits (41), RBIs (25) and walks (18), and ranked second in batting average (.350) and on-base percentage (.445).
Sophomore Shaylynn Campbell and freshman Maria Perez were named honorable mention All-GPAC.
Campbell batted .315 and shared the team lead with 41 hits. She also was the Flames' No. 1 pitcher. Perez led the Flames in batting average (.354) and on-base percentage (.475). She also batted .431 in conference play.
McKinnely Mull from Dakota Wesleyan University was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Player of the Year while Kate Kralik from Northwestern College was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Pitcher of the Year. Shane Bouman from Northwestern was named the Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Coach of the Year.
