OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce the signing of Soila Sanchez, who will join the school’s soccer program in the 2025-26 academic year.

Sanchez is a senior at Omaha Burke High School and the daughter of Polinario Sanchez. She also was a member of the swim team at Burke for two years.

“Soila is going to be a fantastic player for us,’’ CSM Soccer Coach Jamison Parkhill said. “She is very familiar with our program, as she is coached on her club team by our assistant coach, Eliany Parra.’’

Two of Sanchez’s sports heroes are international soccer stars Alex Morgan and Neymar Jr. She also enjoys drawing and journaling.

Sanchez said she felt a smaller school suited her best.

“I believe I will enjoy a private college more, and I know people that go there,’’ she said.

Parkhill is excited to have Sanchez in the program.

“She is going to do great things in a Flames uniform,’’ he said. “We are excited to see what she will accomplish in her four years.’’
