Waldow signs to play softball at CSM
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is delighted to have Kierstin Waldow join its softball program in the 2025-26 school year.
The daughter of Jason and Jaclyn Waldow is a senior at Bellevue West High School and signed her letter of intent Wednesday to continue her academic and athletic career with the Flames.
"I couldn't be more excited to have Kierstin as our first official commitment in this recruiting class,'' CSM Softball Coach Carolyn Bray said. "Kierstin is an awesome young lady from a great family, and it has been a pleasure to get to know her during this recruiting process.''
Waldow includes baking, reading and painting among her hobbies and said she considers Simone Biles a role model. Waldow felt like CSM was the place for her.
"The campus just felt like home,'' she said. "The athletic facility is amazing and Coach Bray has been so nice and open about everything. It just felt right.''
Waldow played catcher, first base and third base during her career at Bellevue West.
"Kierstin brings a lot of strengths to our team with her versatility and passion for the game,'' Bray said. "She's an excellent teammate and I love the energy she brings to the field. Kierstin also is a strong student and is focused on her future. She's been able to see how College of Saint Mary and Flames softball will help support her vision for her future goals.''
