Gaughen named honorable mention All-GPAC

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Madelyn Gaughen of College of Saint Mary has been named to the honorable mention list on the All-Great Plains Athletic Conference women's basketball teams for 2024-25.

Gaughen, a 5-foot-9 junior forward from Cedar Bluffs, Neb., led the Flames in rebounding (4.9), assists (2.0), steals (1.1) and field-goal percentage (41.5%), and was second in scoring (9.7).

Macy Sievers of Dordt University has been selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/ GPAC Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Year and headlines the All-GPAC teams.

Other GPAC basketball honorees include: Defensive Player of the Year: Janie Van Donge of Dordt; Freshman of the Year: McKenna Yates of Hastings; and GPAC Coach of the Year: Jina Douglas of Hastings.

The All-GPAC Basketball Teams and honors are selected by the league's 12 head coaches.
