Weiss signs with CSM golf program

OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce the signing of Frederique Weiss, who will join the school's golf program in the 2025-26 academic year.

Weiss, who prefers to go by "Frede'' (pronounced FRED-ee), is a senior at Parkway North High School in St. Louis, Mo. She is four-time state qualifier, a district individual champion and an all-stater in golf. Her sports hero is LPGA star and Olympic gold medalist Nelly Korda.

"Frede is a well-rounded student-athlete,'' CSM Coach Keri Rodriguez said. "She's a consistent golfer with a good head on her shoulders. She's great on the course and in the classroom. She's dedicated to the sport and will give it her all.''

The daughter of Kurt Weiss and Brigitte Mailloux said her greatest sports moment to date was winning the district title. She enjoys spending time with friends, arts and crafts, sports and baking. She felt a connection to the school when she visited.

"I loved the smaller campus; it feels much more individualized for learning and growth,'' she said. "I love the energy that the campus and its people bring. I felt like I belonged there the second I got there. The golf coach was amazing, and I could really see myself as a part of the team.''
