CSM soccer program signs Gallagher
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary is pleased to announce that Emma Gallagher has signed to join the school's soccer program in the 2025-26 academic year.
Gallagher is a senior at Mercy High School in Omaha and the daughter of Chris and Angie Gallagher. She has played four years of soccer, basketball and softball at Mercy.
CSM Soccer Coach Jamison Parkhill is looking forward to the addition of Gallagher to his program.
"Emma is someone we are super excited about,'' he said. "She is a fantastic player and an even better person. Emma has a very high soccer IQ and will do amazing things in a CSM uniform for the next four years!''
In soccer, Gallagher has been honorable mention all-state twice. Her sports hero is former Olympic and World Cup soccer champion Megan Rapinoe, and her greatest sports moment to date is reaching the state soccer semifinals in her sophomore year at Mercy.
Gallagher enjoys spending time with friends, reading, singing and baking/cooking. She said she was immediately drawn to CSM.
"I chose CSM because it was the one place that truly felt like home when I toured,'' she said. "All of the women were so nice and welcoming, not just on the soccer team, but also just the women on campus in general. CSM really showed me how I can fit in in new places, and it made me feel comfortable and safe.''
