Flames finish 7th at KCAC Championships

HOBART, Ind. – College of Saint Mary wrapped up a successful three-day run Saturday in the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at the Hobart Aquatic Center.

The Flames finished seventh in the 10-team competition with 191 points. Bethel (Ind.) University won the team title with 769.5 points.

On Saturday, CSM's top finish came in the 400 free relay, where Kylee Brown, Mia Gauvin, Hannah Steinmetz and Isabelle Promes placed sixth in 3:41.92.

Naomi Huttenga was the highest individual finisher among Saturday's finals, placing ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:41.75). Cailyn Nielsen was 14th in the same race (2:43.16).

Chloe Hale took 11th in the 200 backstroke (2:13.94) as the top CSM finisher, and Brown led the way in the 100 freestyle with an 11th place swim of 54.75.
