
Flames qualify 7 in 3 events for indoor nationals
OMAHA, Neb. – College of Saint Mary will be well-represented this weekend as the 2025 U.S. Marines NAIA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship will take place Thursday through Saturday at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Fla.
Seven CSM women are scheduled to compete in three events:
- The long jump will feature two Flames: freshman Mikaiya Rodgers, who qualified 14th, and sophomore Kellesse Heard, who qualified 17th.
- Claire Caspersen is seeded sixth in the shot put. The four-time All-American placed ninth at indoor nationals last season and third at outdoor nationals.
- The Flames are seeded ninth in the 4x800 relay with freshmen Carly Henderson, Kara Muller and Olivia Elbert, and sophomore Mira Fosmer. Freshman Josie Karnik is an alternate. The top eight finishers in the prelims will reach the final and earn All-America honors.

2:45 p.m.: 4x800 relay prelim (Carly Henderson, Mira Fosmer, Kara Muller, Olivia Elbert)
Friday, Feb. 28
1 p.m.: Long jump prelim and final (Mikaiya Rodgers, Kellesse Heard)
6:10 p.m.: 4x800 relay final
Saturday, March 1
11:30 a.m.: Shot put prelim and final (Claire Caspersen)
