Flames break three more program records

SEWARD, Neb. – Three more program records and two event victories highlighted College of Saint Mary's efforts Saturday in the Concordia Invitational, which was forced indoors due to inclement weather.

Sophomore Kellesse Heard notched another head-turning performance, soaring a personal-best 5.73 meters (18 feet, 9¾ inches) to win the long jump in her first competition since earning All-America honors at the NAIA indoor national meet more than a month ago.

Two of the program records came via sophomore Clare Ullery, who took eighth in the hammer throw in 40.74 meters (133-8) to eclipse the program record set last week by teammate Syd'ney Birch-George. Ullery also set a new program standard in the discus with a fifth-place mark of 38.23 meters (125-5).

Freshman Becka Karnik had the other program record, running a personal-best 5:10.25 en route to a victory in the 1,500 meters. Corinne Mead (5:15.43) placed second in the event and Kiley Craft (5:16.89) was third.
