
CSM's Green named GPAC Attacker of the Week
SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Azaria Green had a fantastic week for the College of Saint Mary volleyball team last week. The CSM sophomore was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference/Hauff Mid-America Sports Attacker of the Week for her efforts.
Green earned the honor for her play during the week of Sept. 2-8. Alexis Pontine from Hastings College was named Setter of the Week and Miriam Miller from Hastings College was recognized as Defender of the Week.
Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players of the Week and Players and Coaches of the Year awards program.

Attacker – Azaria Green, College of Saint Mary
Azaria Green of the College of Saint Mary is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker of the Week. Green, from Council Bluffs, Iowa, led Flames' offensive attack in four games on the week, hitting .358. She totaled 53 kills in all and hit .467 in a sweep of Evangel. She also added 17 blocks and three digs.
Setter- Alexis Pontine, Hastings College
Alexis Pontine of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter of the Week. Pontine, a junior from Ignacio, Colo., registered 93 assists across the Broncos three games this week leading to a 2-1 record. Against Doane, she recorded 39 assists, averaging 13 assists per set. For the week she averaged 10.33 assists per set. Pontine also added two kills, one of which led to a match point against Doane.
Defender – Miriam Miller, Hastings College
Hastings College defensive specialist Miriam Miller is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender of the Week. Miller, a senior from Lincoln, Neb., led the Broncos defensively by registering 64 digs in three contests, including 25 digs in the conference opening sweep of Doane. She averaged 8.33 digs per set against Doane and 7.67 digs per set against MidAmerica Nazarene. Out of her 35 receive attempts, she did not commit a single error. Miller also added nine assists and five aces during the week.
